stupid me!

I am probably the most stupid person in the world. My dad told me that The pan was hot and i bumped it and i burnt my pinky finger. It really hurts and he told me that all i have to do is put ice on it but its not that simple... see when i put my finger on the ice it feels better but when i take my finger off the ice it amediatly starts hurting again. I just dont know what to do! I guess i will just have to live through the pain or ice it so much that it goes numb. Im feeling stupid *.*
